THEORY
This study is anchored on support theory. Support
theory is a probabilistic judgment of the primary
hypothesis’s support, or strength of evidence,
compared to the alternative hypothesis. It is assumed
that when an event’s description is broken down into
separate components, the judged likelihood of the
occurrence increases (implicit subadditivity).
