One day Neetu came home from school with
teary eyes.
Neetu's mother gave a note of Rs.500 to the
shopkeeper.
Q. Mother bought a teddy for her daughter. Cost
of the teddy is Rs.300. The mother gave a note of
Rs. 500 to the shopkeeper. How much did he
return?

Amount of money the mother gave= Rs.500

Cost of the teddy. = Rs.300
Amount of money the shopkeeper= Rs 200
returned

Ans- The shopkeeper returned Rs. 200

Neetu and her mother came out of the toy shop and
went to the ice cream parlour.
Neetu's mother gave Rs.150 to him.
Q. Neetu's mother bought an ice-cream for Rs. 120.
She gave Rs. 150 to the shopkeeper. How much did
he return?

Amount of money Neetu's mother gave= Rs.150

Cost of the ice-cream = Rs.120

Amount of money the shopkeeper = Rs. 30

returned

Ans- The shopkeeper returned Rs. 30

Next day Neetu was ready for school.
