Notification - Overview
 A Notification is created when (1) the need for a
maintenance task is identified, (2) when a completed
maintenance activity has to be recorded or (3) when
downtime has occurred.

 Maintenance Orders are created using the notification


as the trigger.

 Downtime Notifications are created by the control


room operator.

Notification - Types

M1 – Maintenance Request
Maintenance requests include requests for
inspection, lubrication and ordinary repairs that
do not involve equipment breakdown nor
production downtime. These are activities that
can be planned, scheduled and are not
emergency in nature.

M2 – Malfunction Report
A Malfunction Report is used for requests on
equipment or parts that have failed or are about to fail
its intended function. This includes all breakdowns that
resulted in loss in production and those that did not.

M3 – Activity Report
Notification that results from maintenance activity or
service that has been performed or accomplished.
Examples are inspection or maintenance findings
determined during or after planned maintenance work.

 A Corrective Order (PM01) is a type of Work


Order used for activities that involve the
maintenance of a piece or part of equipment
that has failed its function.
 Most often, this means repair or replacement
of the equipment or maintenance object

improvement projects and the costs are settled
onto the asset under construction (AuC)
 All PM06 should be in accordance to HARP
