WALL
TILES • FUNCTIONS
• Wall tiles are used in residences, hotels, spas, kitchen
areas. They make the place look good and are easy to
clean tiles are made of ceramic.
• Prices can vary according to design.
• Sizes are 60x60cms
• BENEFITS
• Low cost ,easy to clean, long lasting and variety.
• The disadvantages are there will be water droplets
which make them cold and wet.
• Price of 25x65 cm tile is AED 51, 60x 60 cm tile is AED
115.
• These are available in market.
PLASTIC FOR WALLS • FUNCTIONS
• Plastic is used on walls in offices,
homes, restaurants and cafes. These
are vinyl sheets which are elegant
looking and easy to clean.
• Prices for 30x 30 cm is
AED 300, 60x120cm size price
is AED 65.
• These are available in market.
• ADVANTAGES AND
DISADVANTAGES

• They have a long life ,flexible design,

• Recyclable ,economically efficient.
• The disadvantages are that rot can
develop on the wood if there is any
water.

STONE WALL

FUNCTIONS
Stone walls are used at homes ,hotels
outdoor etc. They are very durable and
low maintenance.
• The texture is rough or
smooth varying on the type of stone.
Rainbow sandstone,
Snapped Bluestone, Limestone,
Venetian Cobble are the popular types
of stone walls.
• Price for 60x 60 cm tile is AED 104.
• Advantages are variety
of texture ,colors ,sizes and
little maintenance. The disadvantages
are its weight, construction
cost, transportation.
WALLPAPER

• FUNCTIONS
• Wallpapers are used in homes, offices, hotels. Durable
wallpaper with elegant design & moisture resistance.
• Made from removable, self-adhesive material.
• Easy to apply, removable, durable, pressure
resistance, shock resistance, moisture resistance.

• PRICE AED 100
• Advantages of wallpaper are: easy to put up, quick
transformation, protects walls. The disadvantages
are it can get easily scratched, cheaper wallpapers are
thinner, if there is any mould in the walls it can
show up in the wallpaper.

 GLASS
WALL
• FUNCTIONS
• Used in homes ,offices, hotels, and restaurants.

Glass walls are smooth and make the place

look bigger.
• Prices vary from 350AED to 800AED per
sq metre.
• Advantages of glass walls are:
transparent, dust and
waterproof, aesthetically
appealing, recyclable, weather
resistant, insulator of electricity, and
abrasion proof.
• Disadvantages are : cost, brittle, impact
resistant, unsafe for earthquake prone
areas, heat absorbent, maintenance
and glare.

BRICK WALLS
FUNCTIONS
• Bricks are made up of sand ,lime cement,
fly ash. They are used in construction of
structures as well as for decorative
purposes.
• Sizes for hollow bricks are400mm x150mm
x200mm. Price is AED 1.40.Sizes for solid
bricks are400mm x 200mm x 200mm. Price
of it is AED 2.60.
• Advantages of brick walls are : low
cost, thermal properties, protects
from wind , fire, and moisture.
• Disadvantages are: mold and plant
growth.
 METAL WALLS
• FUNCTIONS
• They can be used for exterior and interior design, and
come in several varieties. Commonly used on
commercial, institutional, municipal, and industrial
buildings, you can also find unique uses of metal wall
panels on residential homes and condos. More and
more buildings are using metal in their construction.
• Advantages of metal walls are: reliable, less
construction time, aesthetics. Disadvantages
are: corrosive , higher initial cost and availiability.

WOODEN WALLS
• FUNCTIONS
• Wooden walls give a room a pleasant and warm
look. Other benefits of wooden wall coverings
are found in an improvement of the indoor
climate. Wood has a low conductivity of heat,
which results in a room more gradually heating
up or cooling down. This also keeps the
temperature difference between the wooden
walls and the surrounding area limited. They
are also used in malls, offices, homes, building
and spas.
• Price will be AED 481 but also it can also vary
according to the design.
• The size will be 16 x 2.5 x 290 cm.
• Advantages of wooden walls are: its
environment friendly , strong and long lasting,
natural insulator, and easy to fix. Disadvantages
are: rot easily, special treatment like beeswax
or mineral oil should be applied, can be
expensive.
