Heart

• The heart is located in the center of the chest

• Its function is to keep blood flowing through the
body (blood circulation)
Brain

• is located in the head

• functions as the body’s control center
• the seat of all thoughts, memories, perceptions, and
feelings.

Lungs
• The two lungs are located on either side of the upper chest.
• Their main function is exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide
with the blood.
• We can not breathe without them.

Liver

• Located on the right side of the abdomen.

• Filters blood
• Secretes bile needed for digestion
• Produces proteins

Kidneys
• located in the back of the abdomen on either side of the body.
• filters blood and forms urine

Bladder
• Muscular organ
• It stores urine
Intestines
• the small intestine (absorbs food)
• the large intestine (is responsible for absorption of water
and excretion of solid waste material)
Stomach
• Muscular, elastic bag
• Digests food
