Chemical Handling
What is Chemical Handling :

Chemical handling refers to the set of procedures, practices, and

precautions involved in the safe and responsible management of
chemicals in various settings, such as laboratories, industrial facilities,
and workplaces.
• Receiving
• Storage
• Transportation
• Use, and disposal of chemicals.
Bio Safety Laboratories

Bio-safety laboratories (BSLs) are categorized based on the level of

containment and the types of microorganisms or agents handled within
them. The classification system is designed to ensure the safe handling of
biological materials and to protect both laboratory personnel and the
surrounding environment. The levels are typically referred to as BSL-1
through BSL-4, with BSL-1 being the lowest level of containment and
BSL-4 being the highest. Here's an overview of each category
Material Safety Data Sheet

The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), now commonly referred to as

the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), is a comprehensive document that
provides detailed information about the properties, hazards, safe use,
handling, storage, and emergency procedures related to a particular
chemical product. The purpose of the SDS is to ensure the safety of
individuals who may come into contact with the chemical, such as
workers, emergency responders, and consumers
