Materials
Material Sourcing is an important factor in determining the quality of the finished product.
Understanding the project and deciding the right kind of material is essential to ensure the
durability, aesthetics and budget of the project. Common raw materials used in projects are
CARPENTRY
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) sheets usually are available in 8ft x 4ft sizes with thickness
ranging from 3mm to 25mm. Common varieties of this material includes
Polycarbonate
METALS
The most cost effective solution to fabricating furniture in mass production, couples with the advantage of
durability and low maintenance for prolonged usage. Limitations include certain design requirements, often
needing protective coating, weight and expensive to produce low quantities among others.

Printing
There are various printing techniques used to achieve the desired output expected by the client,
each of which varies in quality, timeline and budget. Some commonly used techniques in the
industry are:
Commercial Offset
Widely used printing technique in which the inked image on a printing plate is printed on a rubber

cylinder and then transferred (i.e., offset) to paper or other material.
• Very high quality
• Cost Effective in
large quantities
• Wide variety of
paper available
• Special processes
• Turnaround speed
is slower.
• Max size: 100x70

Digital Printing
Digital printing prints digital-based images directly onto a variety of substrates. There is no need
for a printing plate, unlike offset printing.
• High quality
• Cost Effective in
small quantities
• limited variety of
paper available
• Limited number
of special
processes
• Quick turnaround
• Max size: A3
Printing
Digital Large Format Printing
Ideal to brand large areas, this type of printing uses inkjet technology to get high quality output
