What is stress?
• Stress is the body's response to certain situations.
• Stress can affect the physical and mental health as
well as behavior.
• Stress can both be good as well as bad
• Stress may be categorized as
• Acute Stress
• Episodic Acute Stress
• Chronic Stress
Types of Stress
• Acute Stress
It is the body's immediate reaction to a new challenge, event, or
demand, and it triggers the fight-or-flight response.
• Episodic Acute Stress
When acute stress happens frequently, it’s called episodic acute
stress.
• Chronic Stress
Unresolved acute stress, which is constant and does not go away.
