Year 8 - 2024
Exposition

This is the beginning of


the story where the main
characters, setting, and
initial situation are
introduced. It sets the
stage for the events to
come.
This is the event that sets the main plot in
motion, creating a problem or conflict that
Inciting Moment the characters must address. It usually occurs
early in the story.
Rising action

The series of events that build tension and


develop the story. It includes challenges,
conflicts, and complications that the
characters face as they work toward resolving
the main problem.
Complication

Within the rising action,


complications add depth
to the narrative. These
challenges intensify the
conflict, making it more
difficult for the characters
to achieve their goals.
The turning point or the most intense
moment in the story. It's the critical moment
Climax where the main character faces the central
conflict and must make a crucial decision.
Reversal

Following the climax, a reversal


occurs. This could be a shift in
fortune, a surprising revelation, or a
significant change in the direction of
the story.
Falling Action

The events that follow the


climax, resolving the
remaining issues and
tying up loose ends. It
leads the story towards its
conclusion.
Resolution/ The final outcome of the story. It reveals the
consequences of the characters' actions and
Denouement provides closure.
