1. Identify the role of the teacher in linkages
between the school and the community;
2. Describe the objective and importance of
community linkages to the school;
3. Discuss the effective ways to communicate
with the community and other school
partners;
4. Recognize what community linkages do to
our school

 The school and community are the main sources of effective and
good forces that can create a good environment for mutual
benefit and improvement. School is between in the community
and the community as well takes care of the school.

Linkages:
* Focuses on the ideal that classroom
activities are meaningfully linked to the
experiences and aspirations of the students
in their homes and communities.
* The domain focuses on teachers’ efforts in
strengthening the links between schools and
communities.
Importance of community Linkages in
providing effective learning
environment for students
* provides a deeper connection to
class content by encouraging
students to apply their classroom
knowledge to a real- world setting.
Impact of Community Linkages
and partnership in school

* Once the community gets more involved in the


education program, schools can discover their
strengths and weakness and solve them accordingly.
By finding best practices for the educational
programs they offer, they can improve them and
become a school where children’s success is
essential.
Application

Involve in Community Linkages:
*use of school or neighborhood facilities and
equipment;
*sharing other resources
*collaborative fund raising
*information sharing and dissemination
*recognition and public relations
*shared responsibility for planning, implementation
and evaluation of programs and services
*Expanding oppurtunities for internships, jobs,
recreation

EFFECTIVELY WAYS TO COMMUNICATE WITH
THE COMMUNITY AND OTHER PARTNERS
AS ONE
1. Collaborative Relationship
 The school official actively participate in community projects such as
literary assistance project for out-of-school children and house
campaign for healthful practice.
2. Organized Association
 Parent- teacher association, they undertake projects and activities aimed
at promoting a harmonious and enjoyable relationship among themselves.
3. Public, Safety, Beautification and Cleanliness

 Peace and order, safety in public conveyances and


compliance with ordinances afford ample protection and
disciplinary measures deserved by all.
4. Values Exhibited
 Values of nationalism and unity are developed through the examples
demonstrated by the schools and government officials.
5. Instructional Centers and Materials
 The community can serve as rich sources of instructional materials.
Professional and practitioners from the community can be invited as
resource speakers during observance of significant school rites.

people’s problems

and strategies to enhance communities that
support all youth and their families
