    Introduction to AI

    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a branch of computer


    science that aims to create machines that mimic
    human intelligence. This could be anything from
    a computer program playing chess to a voice-
    recognition system like Amazon's Alexa.
    • The concept of artificial intelligence has been
    around since antiquity. But the modern field of AI
    History of AI: Start came into existence in 1956 at a conference at
    Dartmouth College.
    • The first AI winter occurred in the mid-1970s when a lack of
    AI Winter funding and interest led to a slowdown in AI research. A
    second AI winter occurred in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
    AI Spring
    • The term 'AI Spring' refers to periods of renewed interest and advances in AI technology. The most
    recent AI spring began around 2011 due to breakthroughs in machine learning and access to large
    amounts of data.
    • The future of AI holds much promise. It is
    expected that AI will continue to advance

    vehicles, and more.
