Coordinate geometry
Coordinate geometry (or analytic geometry) is defined as the study of geometry using the coordinate points. Using
coordinate geometry, it is possible to find the distance between two points, dividing lines in m:n ratio, finding the
mid-point of a line, calculating the area of a triangle in the Cartesian plane, etc.

Application of Coordinate geometry

 In a construction field we are mainly using coordinate geometry. The sketch of the building is
pure geometry.
 When I instruct google maps to tell me the path from Place A to Place B, it basically:
 Finds the shortest possible path (or paths).
 Tells me the distance and time.
