How do poets use visual imagery to create
mental pictures?
Poets use visual imagery by employing vivid language that appeals to the senses, describing scenes,
objects, or emotions in a way that forms a mental picture for the reader. Through carefully chosen words,
they evoke sensory experiences, making the reader feel, see, or even smell what the poet is describing.
This technique enhances the emotional impact of the poem and helps create a more immersive and
memorable reading experience.

Example:
“ In the garden of our hearts, love blooms,
Petals of passion, dispelling all glooms”
