What are the promises and prophecies related to the birth of Jesus ?
Promises were given to Adam and Eve , and to Abraham . Prophets like Samuel
and Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would take birth as the Son of David and reign on
his throne forever. Micah’s prophecy of the birth of Jesus at Bethlehem and Jesus’
virgin birth by Isaiah were fulfilled at the birth of Jesus

Explain the significance of Jesus birth

The virgin birth of Jesus is the core belief of the church. Due
to the disobedience of the first man Adam, all of Adam’s descendants became
sinners. There was a need for a sinless person to come and save men from sin, and
also to stand on behalf of men to bear the condemnation of sin. The only way for a
sinless birth was the virgin birth and Jesus was born by the power of the Holy Spirit.
So Jesus was sinless.

What is the common subject or topic of the gospels?

reveal Jesus Christ’s life and ministry.

Time of slavery and its reasons

During the days of Joseph, Egypt was ruled by a shepherd king. He treated the
Israelites favorably. But some years later, the other Egyptian Pharaohs came into
power and they oppressed the Israelites.
Reasons for slavery:
1. A new king came to power in Egypt who knew nothing about Joseph or what he
had done.
2. The Egyptians became alarmed over the growth of the population of Israel.
Israelites had migrated to Egypt with seventy people and when it came to the fourth
generation, their number increased to about thirty lakhs.
The history of the world has not seen such a growth within two hundred years (Ex.
1:7; Acts. 7:7). Their flocks also increased in number. In order to suppress the growth
of the Israelites, Egyptians began to oppress them cruelly.
3. The more the Egyptians oppressed the Israelites, the more the Israelites
multiplied and spread, and the more alarmed the Egyptians became.

Six cities of refuge were set apart for the protection of any person who accidentally
killed another person.

The Great Tribulation or Jacob’s Trouble

The tendering of Israel shows that Jesus’ second coming is very soon. Jesus’ second
coming has two phases:
. The dead in Christ will rise first and those who are alive will be caught up together
with them in transformed bodies in the clouds. They will together meet the Lord in
the air.
Anti Christ will become the ruler of the world. But he will break the treaty after three
and a half years and he will stop the sacrifice in Jerusalem.
7-year rule of antichrist, Israel will acknowledge their sin and repent over it and will
turn to God
