 Introduction

• In this era of modern technology, new designs and innovations of devices have been used feasibly improve our
quality of life. The computers have been increasing in power yet decrease in size in which it is promising the
users to access though online resources easily anytime and everywhere as long as they bring their devices with
them. Augmented Reality (AR) has been invented as a wearable computing of technology in a lot of modern
applications.

• There are many applications of AR are coming into view based on the characteristic of integration between
virtual and real scene, such as in the field of education, medical treatment, and entertainment.

• However, in this project, we will be focusing more on AR Map since this application will be implemented in our
daily life at the campus and to make it more convenient to the users.

Help organizers and attendees locate event venues, auditoriums, and meeting rooms during conferences, seminars, or
campus events.

Provide information on accessible routes for individuals with disabilities, including ramps, elevators, and other
accessible facilities.

Augmented Reality (AR) :

•Implement AR or VR technologies to create an immersive experience for users navigating the 3D map.

•AR can be used on mobile devices, allowing users to overlay digital information onto the real-world view through their
device's camera. VR provides a fully immersive experience using headsets.

 Scope of the project

• The scope of a project for creating a university map using Augmented Reality (AR): The primary
objective is to develop an AR-based university map that enhances the navigation experience for
students, faculty, and visitors on the campus.

• A mobile application or website that integrates AR technology to display the university map.
Attach relevant information to specific locations, such as building names, department details,
office hours, and contact information.

• Include multimedia content like images, videos, or links to additional resources.

• Integrate a calendar feature that displays upcoming events on campus.

• Develop an AR campus tour feature for prospective students and visitors.
