 Sexual reproduction produces
offspring by the fusion of
gametes (pollination), resulting
in offspring genetically different
from either parent.

Pollination is the process of transferring pollen grains from

the anther – male part of a flower, to the stigma – female part
of a flower.

SELF POLLINATION
 A pollination where the pollen
transfer takes place between
the anther and stigma of the
same flower.

CROSS POLLINATION
 A pollination where the pollen
transfer takes place between the
anther and the stigma of
different flowers of the same
plant or different plants of the
same species.

BUDDING
 Budding is an asexual reproduction
method in which a new organism
develops from a bud of an existing
organism. Until the new organism
matures, it remains attached to the
parent organism.
FRAGMENTATION
 Fragmentation in multicellular or
colonial organisms is a form of asexual
reproduction or cloning, where an
organism is split into fragments upon
maturation and the spilted part becomes
the new individual. The organism may
develop specific organs or zones to
shed or be easily broken off.
VEGETATIVE PROPAGATION
 Vegetative propagation is a process
in which plants reproduce from
stems, roots and leaves. It is a form
of asexual reproduction seen in
plants
SPORE FORMATION
 Spore Formation is an Asexual
Reproduction technique. Many Spores
are housed in sacs known as Sporangia.
The plants produce hundreds of spores
and the spore sac bursts. These spores
are dispersed into the air, where they
germinate and create a new plant under
favorable conditions.
