of Israel, 'They are bewildered by the
land; the wilderness has closed them

Then the waters returned and covered
the chariots, the horsemen, and all the
army of Pharaoh that came into the
sea after them. Not so much as one of
them remained.
But the children of Israel had walked
on dry land in the midst of the sea,
and the waters were a wall to them
on their right hand and on their left.
So the LORD saved Israel that day out
of the hand of the Egyptians, and
Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the
seashore.

John 14:6 NKJV
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the
truth, and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through Me.
 The Other Side of Life
There is always the other side of life.
– Prosperity is the other side of
poverty
– Health is the other side of sickness
– Glory is the other side of shame
– Freedom is the other side of slavery
– Life is the other side of death
 Time is what is between
-Eccl. 3:1, Eccl. 9:11
• To everything there is a season, A time for
every purpose under heaven – Eccl. 3:1
• I returned and saw under the sun that-The
race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to
the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor
riches to men of understanding, Nor favor
to men of skill; But time and chance
happen to them all. – Eccl. 9:11
 Closed in or Set up?
• Before your time, enemy may think you
are closed in; that is, it is over with you, no
way out.

• Your senses may also tell you that because

the appearance of things is NO WAY!
 Pharaoh thought same about
the Israelites
• Pharaoh thought the children of Israel
were closed in because the red sea
was ahead of them and he and his
army behind them. BUT
• God does not make mistake, He knew
what He was doing when He led the
Israelites towards the red sea.
• Ex 13:17 ¶ Then it came to pass,
when Pharaoh had let the people go,
that God did not lead them by way
of the land of the Philistines,
although that was near; for God said,
"Lest perhaps the people change
their minds when they see war, and
return to Egypt."
 Closed in or Set up contd.
• Pharaoh pursued the children
of Israel because he thought
they are on a dead-end road
but God made way where there
was no way.
 The cry and the command
• 10 ¶ And when Pharaoh drew near, the
children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold,
the Egyptians marched after them. So they
were very afraid, and the children of Israel
cried out to the LORD.

• 15 ¶ And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do

you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go
forward.
 Are you ready to cry?
Are you ready for the command?.
• In your state of despondency, what do you
do?
• Some turn to the devil for help
• Some turn to alcohol and some to friends
and family
• But all these disappoint either because
they are unable to help or unwilling to
help
Cry to God and receive His way
out for you.
• God is for you. He hears when you
call on Him.
• You may be a drunkard, womanizer,
prostitute or even an idolater yet if
you call on Him here tonight, He will
hear you and give you His command.
• His command will make way for you.
 The Command is Jesus Christ
• John 3:16 says that God so loved
the world that He gave only
begotten son that whoever shall
believe in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life.
 He is the WAY to the other side
that you desire.
• In John 14:6, our Lord Jesus Christ says He
is the way, the truth and the life….

• Water of life may have closed you in but if

you will accept Him tonight you will sing a
new song in the dawn of the new year.
 Decide for Christ.
• Decide for Christ now and let your sorrow
turn to joy.
• Decide for Him and your poverty shall turn
to prosperity without sorrow.
• Decide for Him and breakthrough in life
