INTRODUCTION:
 Concrete is a material of a high compressive but around ten times
smaller tensile strength. In order to avoid brittle failure and
improve mechanical properties, it is possible to add fibers to the
concrete mix. This creates fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) which is
a cementitious composite material with a dispersed reinforcement
in a form of fibers, e.g. steel, polypropylene, and others. The
requirements apply not only to mechanical properties, such as
high compressive, tensile, and flexural strength and/or physical
properties but also economic and ecological reasons.
 The Agricultural waste is available at a wide range, such as
coconut Fibre, Husk, etc. It is also used to Improve Tensile
strength,flexural strength,etc.
OBJECTIVES:

 Toobtain a hybridized concrete with combination

of steel fibers, polypropylene fibers, coconut
fibers.
 To
increase mechanical properties like tensile,
compressive strength of concrete.
 To obtain optimized, cost-effective mix.
LITERATURE REVIEW:

Ramaiah Prakash 1,*, Nagarajan Divyah 2 ,

Sundaresan Srividhya 3 , Siva Avudaiappan 4, The
construction industry relies heavily on concrete as a building
material. The coarse aggregate makes up a substantial
portion of the volume of concrete. However, the continued
exploitation of granite rock for coarse aggregate results in an
increase in the future generations’ demand for natural
resources. In this investigation, coconut shell was used in the
place of conventional aggregate to produce coconut shell
lightweight concrete.

Western Sydney University ,AUSTRALIA . Hybrid fibre
reinforced concrete (HFRC) is one of the most promising
construction techniques and repairing material in recent times
for the construction industry. Generally, plain concrete has a
very low tensile strength and limited resistance to cracking
prior to the ultimate load. Fibre hybridization with different
types of fibres helps in resisting these cracks in the concrete
structures. This research aims to study the rheological and
mechanical properties of HFRC made with steel and coconut
(coir) fibre in comparison to control concrete.

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of
polypropylene fibre addition into eco-concrete made with fly
ash, an industrial by product, as partial cement replacement
material, and coconut shell, an agricultural waste, as coarse
aggregates, on the mechanical properties of the concrete.
Two different mixes were developed, one with coconut shell
only as coarse aggregates, and the other with the
combination of both conventional aggregates and coconut
shell as coarse aggregates.
WORD DONE:

1. Literature review.
2. Collection of materials.
3. Calculation of cement-mix.
4. Preparation of Cement cubes.

1. Literature Review:
Collecting of various Literature reviews of various

scientists from variety of sources.

 2. Collection of materials:
Collecting of various fibers like steel, polypropylene, coconut from
Factories and cleaning of materials.

3. calculation of cement-mix :
It is the key step in which the result is totally based on this calculation.
The calculation of quantity of various fibres, cement, sand, water for
cement-mix. Totally 18 cement cubes should prepare by varying the ratios of
quantities of materials in mix. For Every 6 cement cubes must be water cure
for 7,14, 28, days.

4. Preparation of cement cubes:

Preparation of cement-mix of various ratios of quantities of materials, for
every six cement cubes ratio of quantities should be same by proper
compaction and vibration.12 cubes were prepared.
ONGOING WORK:

 Preparation of remaining six cement cubes.

 Water curing of cement cubes.
 Compressive
Test should be done for all the
cement cubes
