INTRODUCTION
According to research, learning environments play a critical impact
in student achievement. Seating, light, noise, and even color can all
have an impact on learning ability. Students that study in a favorable
learning environment are more motivated, engaged, and have greater
overall learning ability. Students learning in poor circumstances, on
the other hand, such as those that are uncomfortable, loud, or full of
distractions, will find it far more difficult to retain knowledge and
stay engaged. Many scholars have studied the impact of working
environment on productivity of employees as Gonzalez (1999)
defines importance of working environment as it is an important
determiner of employee performance and helps employees to
concentrate on their job properly.
Students in the process of socialization require a healthy
environment and models to increase their performance. Hence,
a clean, quiet and comfortable environment are important
components of learning environment (Gilavand, 2016).
Furthermore, creating an ideal learning environment ought to
be a priority of every concerned educationalist because being
comfortable should be a combination of several factors which
include temperature, lighting, and noise control etc (Murugan
& Rajoo, 2013).
Globally, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO,2012) observed that in today's world,
education systems must continuously evolve to effectively respond to
the rapidly changing demands of the societies they serve. To achieve
a shared understanding of how the physical and social aspects of
learning environments influence the quality of learning processes, it
is necessary to investigate the relationship between place and process.
In formal education environments, the teaching-learning process
cannot occur in a vacuum. It is the consequence of the interaction
between elements of the learning environment. Elements of the
teaching-learning process in a learning environment are the instructor,
students, content, learning process, and learning situation. (2012)

In the Philippines, De Lima, who chairs the Senate Committee on
Social Justice, Welfare, and Rural Development, said these study
areas will offer students and young professionals an alternative to
eateries and coffee shops. "During test weeks, young people study in
fast-food chains, coffee shops, and other places because there are no
24/7 libraries or study areas. This is ongoing, but not all businesses
are student-friendly". After literature professor Ian Rosales Casocot

in its premises, students demanded more public libraries and places.
