HISTORY PROJECT

You are required to undertake
one project [as per Council
requirement] which may be on
any one of the following:

•List of Suggested Projects
1. Compare the Parliamentary and Presidential forms of Government with reference to India and the U.S.A.
2. Conduct a mock Court and record the proceedings.
3. Present a life sketch and contributions of any one of the following Presidents of India –Dr. Rajendra
Prasad, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (or any other).
4. Present a book review of any one of the following works: Dadabhai Naoroji’s ‘Poverty and un-British rule
in India’, Gandhi’s ‘The Story of my Experiments with Truth’, Nehru’s ‘Discovery of India’, Bhagat Singh’s
‘Why I am an Atheist’, Vijayalakshmi Pandit’s ‘The Scope of Happiness: A Personal Memoir’, Abdul
Kalam’s ‘Wings of Fire’.
5. Discuss the relevance of any one of the following films to understand the history of 20th Century Europe:
The Book Thief, Schindler’s List, Escape to Victory, The Boy in Striped Pajamas, Life is Beautiful, The
Sound of Music, Gandhi (Richard Attenborough), Sardar (Ketan Mehta), Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose -
The Forgotten Hero (Shyam Benegal).
6. Highlight the work and achievements of any one Nobel Laureate - Malala Yousafzai or Kailash Satyarthi.
7. Make a PowerPoint presentation on India’s Independence and Partition.
8. Make a presentation on the influence of Gandhian principles on Martin Luther King / Nelson Mandela.
9. Prepare a Report on the contributions of any one of the following agencies of the United Nations –
UNESCO / WHO / UNICEF / ILO / UNDP / FAO.
10.Present a case study of any recent human rights violations and redressal mechanisms available to
prevent such instances in the future.
EVALUATION
The assignments/project work is to be
evaluated by the subject teacher and by an
External Examiner. The Internal Examiner
and the External Examiner will assess the
assignments independently for 10 marks
each
Specific Instructions
1. The Project should be of 10 to 12 sides
2. The Project should be handwritten neatly. [Except the PPT options]

3. Basic Content
a. Cover Page with Title of the Project and Name, Grade and Section of the Student
b. 1st Page Index
c. 2nd Page Introduction of the Topic
d. 3rd page to third last page Matter on which you have researched
e. Second last page Conclusion. Should be written in your own words
f. Last Page Bibliography not just 1 or 2 sites like [Wikipedia and Britannica]
g. Written work on Right hand side and pictures on Left hand side
h. All pictures should have titles/ captions and should be relevant to the text/matter you have written
If any of these are missing, you could lose marks.
4. Power point will be submitted on Turnitin and checked for Plagiarism the content copied should be less
than 20% as shown on Turnitin-

All projects will be checked for plagiarism.
