Severe Weather Protocols
If a WARNING is issued and conditions are imminent
an announcement to seek shelter will be made.

• Stop work immediately and shut off machines


• Go to your designated tornado shelter
• Kneel or sit down in this area
• Place your head between your knees and
covering your head with their hands.
• During the seek shelter:
• Weather conditions will be monitored
• When the warning is lifted, ERT members will
conduct a search to verify the safety of the plant.

return to their work, or leave the premises.

Proper lifting techniques:


• Keep your feet at least a foot apart
to provide a stable base.
• Bend at your knees instead of your
waist.
• Have a firm hold on the item
• Tighten your abdominal muscles.
