01 BERMUDA
TRIANGLE
WHAT IS THE BERMUDA
The Bermuda Triangle is a region in the western part of the
North Atlantic Ocean in which ships, planes,TRIANGLE?
and people
are alleged to have mysteriously vanished.

For decades, the Atlantic Ocean’s fabled Bermuda Triangle

has captured the human imagination with unexplained
disappearances of ships, planes, and people.

This map shows the general location of the Bermuda

Triangle.
Some speculate that unknown and mysterious forces
account for the unexplained disappearances, such as aliens
capturing humans for study; the influence of the lost continent of
Atlantis; vortices that suck objects into other dimensions; and
other whimsical ideas.
Some explanations are more grounded in science, if
not in evidence. These include oceanic flatulence (methane gas
erupting from ocean sediments) and disruptions in geomagnetic
lines of flux. Environmental considerations could explain many, if
not most, of the disappearances.
The majority of Atlantic tropical storms and
hurricanes pass through the Bermuda Triangle, and in the days
prior to improved weather forecasting, these dangerous storms
claimed many ships.

ATLANTI
S
LOST CITY OF ATLANTIS
● Rather than the land we live in, what seems stranger
to us is the ocean, which is home to many myths,
legends and mysteries. While scientists have
successfully explained many of these mysteries,
quite a few remain unexplained.
● The Lost City of Atlantis, first mentioned by the
ancient Greek philosopher Plato more than 2,300
years ago, is known as one of the oldest and greatest
mysteries of the world.
● According to Plato, the utopian island kingdom
existed some 9,000 years before his time and
mysteriously disappeared one day. Famed for having
been the exhibit of all worldly pleasures in the world,
this city is as enigmatic as it is inviting.
● The biggest question that boggles the minds of all
scientists is where Atlantis is.
● The narrations suggested that the city is believed to
have sunk into the sea after an earthquake or tsunami.

Flight 370
Malaysia Airlines Flight 370
● Five years ago,on March 8 2014, the flight vanished
into the Indian Ocean, while flying from Kuala Lumpur
International Airport in Malaysia to its planned
destination, Beijing Capital International Airport in
China.
● The 239 people on board MH370, including the 12
crew members, are all believed to have died, though
none of the plane's remnants nor any bodies were ever
found.
● Many theories circulated the internet about this
disappearance, some of them being that there was an
explosion on board or The Plane Flew in Another
Plane’s Shadow
● One of the more outlandish theories is that the plane has
been stolen by terrorists to commit a 9/11-style atrocity. It
has been landed safely, hidden or camouflaged, will be
refueled, and fitted with a new transponder before taking off
to attack a city. It would be very hard to land a plane, hide it
and then take off again, Maffett suggested.
● But it can't be ruled out. "We are now at the stage where
very, very difficult things have to be considered as all
sensible options seem to have dropped off," he says. It is not
clear even whether a plane could be refitted with a new
transponder and given a totally new identity in this way, he
says. Others would say that while it is just about feasible the
plane could be landed in secret, it is unlikely it would be in a
fit state to take off again.

MACHU
PICCHU
MACHU PICCHU
● Since its discovery in the early 20th century, Machu
Picchu has taken off as a world destination, being
named year after year as a best travel destination
and one of South America’s leading tourist
attractions. However, while much has been
speculated regarding the ancient citadel’s founding,
there is even more than what reaches the eye
● Great mystery of Machu Picchu is how it was
built without the wheel. Although the Incas are
believed to have known about the wheel’s existence,
they never used it. Many large granite rocks used in
the citadel’s construction had to be moved somehow
up the steep Andean mountains to be set in place.
Moreover, the stones fit together so tightly that not even
the slightest crack can be seen between them, which is essential for the
earthquake-prone zone
There are questions to this day that have no answer, and perhaps this is
what intrigues thousands of people to visit the citadel to find answers.
There is no risk associated with visiting Machu Picchu.
The deaths reported in Machu Picchu are generally from those who
were not following regulations, such as the most recent death of a
German tourist attempting to take a selfie in a restricted zone.
Yet, for those who dare to climb Huayna Picchu, the
mountain that appears in the background of many photos, its ascent and
last part of the hike up – known as the stairs of death – have a bad
reputation. Moreover, the stones fit together so tightly that not even the
slightest crack can be seen between them, which is essential for the
earthquake-prone zone

HOIA BACIU
FOREST
HOIA BACIU, HAUNTED FOREST OF
MYSTERY IN TRANSYLVANIA
● The Hoia Baciu Forest located on the outskirts of
Cluj Napoca, on the northern border of Romania. It
spans across 250 hectares of Transylvania and is
considered one of the most haunted places on the
planet because of strange paranormal phenomena
that is consistently reported. The Hoia Baciu Forest
is often referred to as the "Bermuda Triangle of
Transylvania" as it is said to be inhabited by the
devil in person, by ghosts and perhaps even aliens.
● The forest gained notoriety around the 1960s, when biologist
Alexandru Sift photographed a flying object in the sky above the
forest. After this incident, other inexplicable events soon followed,
including the disappearance of a shepherd and his 200 sheep which
were never found again; and the disappearance of a five-year- old
girl who later reappeared five years later wearing the same clothes
and without having aged even one day.
● There have also been many first-hand reports form people who
have entered the forest, only to come out with burns, severe rashes,
headaches and high fever which they did not have before. Some
studies have revealed higher than usual radioactivity, produced by
natural uranium present in the subsoil.

JACK THE
RIPPER
Jack the Rippers identity
● Today, London's Whitechapel district is a popular destination for anyone visiting
London, however, in 1888 this was not the case. Whitechapel was plagued with
economic neglect and was an overcrowded slum riddled with poverty. This would
prove to be the perfect area for Jack the Ripper to carry out his murders.
The crimes of Jack the Ripper
● While Jack the Ripper was linked with many murders in the Whitechapel area, it is
widely believed that there are five murders of a similar nature that can be credited
without a doubt to the serial killer.

● Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and
Mary Jane Kelly are all believed to have been Jack the Ripper's victims. The five
women were all brutally murdered. Incisions to the throat and abdomen were
something of a trademark for Jack the Ripper, leaving no doubts as to why he
quickly spread fear and panic throughout the area.
The evidence that proves the identity of Jack the Ripper
Although there were over 100 suspects have been named, they
supposedly found the true identity of the killer.
Earlier in the year, DNA evidence emerged that suggests we can
identify the true identity of Jack the Ripper. A shawl found by the
body of Catherine Eddowes that contains 'forensic stains' has
been used to identify the killer as Aaron Kosminski, a 23-year-
old barber from Poland. The analysis also suggests the killer had
brown eyes and hair, a description that Kosminski fit.
