Solution: The number of ways of choosing 3 heads out of 10 coin tosses

Example 2: In the Powerball lottery, you pick five numbers between 1
and 55 and a single “powerball” number between 1 and 42. How many
possible plays are there?
Solution: Order here doesn’t matter, so the number of ways of
choosing five regular numbers is .
