Argentina was de facto separated from Spain in 1810 and


officially declared its independence in 1816.

Spain colonized Argentina in the 16th century;

it declared its independence in 1816 and emerged as a


democratic republic in the mid 19th century, but has since
then periodically fallen under military rule.

Argentina is the top wine producers worldwide.

Most of the tourists that goes there are from Brazil, United States and Canada.

There were 150 wineries open for tourism in 2019, of which many are in the department of Luján de
Cuyo, not far from the Andean mountain range.
