What is Computer Graphics?
02 APPLICATION
Application
1. Presentation: (Industry, business, government, education, environment, home etc.)
2. User Interfaces: Various software use attractive user interfaces.
3. (Interactive) Plotting in business, science and technology: using 2D and 3D graphs
to represent mathematics, physical, and economical data by histograms, bar and pie
charts.
4. Office automation and electronic publishing: Printing office documents (hardcopy),
Office documents contain text, tables, graphics etc.
5. Computer-aided drafting and design: using CAD design components and systems
of mathematical, electrical, electromechanical, and electronic devices, including
structures such as buildings, automobile bodies, airplane, computer network design,
VLSI design etc.
6. Simulation and animation for scientific visualization and entertainment:
Simulation program for training, virtual reality, animated movies, games etc.
7. Art and commerce: Use in art and advertising.
DEFINITION OF
CONCEPTS 03
Definition of concepts
Image Space
1. Object space is the space where the rays emerge and image space is the space where
rays fall or appear to fall.
2. Image space algorithms are much more efficient than object space algorithms and
Object space algorithms are much more functional than image space algorithms.
3. Color calculation in object space algorithms is done only one time and is retained by
it but in image space algorithm the calculation once done is over written later.
