ELIGIBILITY • An applicant for IP Award should be either Individual or Legal Entity of Indian nationality. • Legal Entity must be an Indian Industry (start up, micro, small, medium, large), firms and societies registered in India; Indian subsidiary of a Transnational Corporation; Indian Academic Institutions and R&D Institutions registered as a legal entity in India, in both private and public sector. • The legal Entity applying for award under the categories should be a standalone institution and it should state the details of patent applications filed / granted in its own name only • For all categories of applicants, the IP filed/granted/registered in India shall be given more weightage than in other countries. DIFFERENT CATEGORIES BROAD PARAMETERS FOR SELECTION • Broad parameters for selection: The awards are not given solely on the basis of number of Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) registered / granted but the utilization of such IPRs as a strategic tool in commerce & industry is also taken into consideration. • The following parameters will be considered as relevant: 1.
