THE MARUNGKO

APPROACH
ELSIE P. CLIMACOSA
Master Teacher I
The Marungko Approach can be considered as
the equivalent of the fuller in the Filipino
Language. It also has a phonics sequence which
provides the teacher with a sequence of letters
and sounds.
The Marungko Approach however, allows for
immediate blending of sounds. After three letters
of the alphabet are taught, the child is
immediately initiated into the decoding process.
