PARTS OF A
LESSON PLAN
A complete LESSON PLAN typically
consists of several key components designed to
guide the teacher through the teaching process
and ensure effective learning outcomes. Here are
the main parts of a LESSON PLAN.
LESSON TITLE
The TITLE should clearly reflect
the content and objective of the
lesson, giving students an idea of
what they will be learning.
I.OBJECTIVES
Clearly state what students are expected to
learn or accomplish by the end of the lesson.
Objectives should be Specific, Measurable,
Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound
(SMART).

C OGNITIVE- intellectual skills and knowledge acquisition.

A FFECTIVE- attitudes, beliefs, values, emotions, and


interpersonal interactions.

P SYCHOMOTOR- encompasses physical skills,


coordination, and manual dexterity.

II.CONTENT
This pertains to the SUBJECT MATTER or the specific
content that the lesson aims to teach.

III.LEARNING RESOURCES
This is the list of resources that a teacher uses to deliver the
lesson. These include the REFERENCES (including particular
pages)used and other resources needed for the different lesson
activities.
The references a teacher may use include the TG(Teaching
Guide), LM(Learner’s Materials),Textbooks and resources
found in the LRMDS(Learning Resource Management and
Development System)
OTHER LEARNING
RESOURCES:
These include the materials such as those
teacher-made, supplies, equipment, tools and other
non-print materials for activities before, during and
after the lesson.
IV. PROCEDURE
 Details the steps and activities the teacher and the
learners will do during the lesson towards achievement of
the lesson’s objectives.
 It should clearly show complete sequence of what to
happen.
 It describes the learning experiences that learners will go
through in understanding and mastering the lesson’s
content.
ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION
Assess student learning to gauge their
understanding of the lesson objectives. This may
involve formative assessments before, during and after
the lesson, such as quizzes or group discussions, as well
as summative assessments to evaluate overall mastery
of the content.
ASSIGNMENT/HOMEWORK
Post -lesson formative assessment, related to the
day’s lesson. Allow learners to master what was
learned.

V.REMARKS
This is the part of the DLP in which teachers shall
document specific instances that result in continuation
of lessons to the following day in case of re-teaching,
insufficient time, transfer of lessons to the following
day as a result of class suspensions, etc.
V1.REFLECTION
This part of the DLP should be filled-out right
after delivery of the lesson. Teachers are encourage to
think about their lessons particularly the parts that
went well and the parts that were weak and write about
it briefly.
Teachers can share their thoughts and feelings about
their lessons including things about the lesson that
were successfully implemented, need improvement or
could be adjusted in the future.
Data of Learners who did well and those who need
help will be reflected in this part.

Each of those mentioned part plays a


crucial role in creating a well-structured and
engaging LESSON PLAN that supports meaningful
learning experiences for students. Effective
lesson planning involves careful consideration of
instructional strategies, learning objectives, and
assessment methods to ensure that the needs of
all students are met.
