Deep learning is a subfield of machine learning which uses artificial
neural networks that is inspired by the structure and function of the human brain. It is preferred in the classification of big data sets because it can provide fast and efficient results. PAPERS REFERRED

Learning Handwritten Recognition based on Hybrid ANN and Wavelet Transformation A Proposed Framework for Recognition of Handwritten Cursive English Characters using DAG-CNN ABSTRACT
In the first paper the designed system for offline handwritten
character recognition have made use of OpenCV and Tensorflow. In the second paper the design of a recognition system model is based on ANN and Wavelet Transformation. In the third paper a new deep learning technique namely Directed Acyclic Graph- Convolutional Neural Network(DAG-CNN) is used for handwritten character recognition SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES
OpenCV is a library of programming functions for real time computer
vision Tensorflow is a free & open-source s/w library used for m/c learning algorithms Artificial Neural Network are computing systems inspired by biological neural network Wavelet Transforms are a mathematical means for performing signal analysis Directed Acyclic Graph(DAG) n/w is a neural network for deep learning with layers arranged as a directed acyclic graph Example : ADVANTAGES
Interpreting handwritten postal addresses on envelopes
Helps in processing of bank cheques Interpretation of handwritten medical prescriptions DISADVANTAGES
Requires large amount of training data
Not very robust to large variations Recognition rate can not be 100% CONCLUSION
The system can recognize only letters and digits of English
language.ANN of Kohenon –ACON type score the highest recognition rate.Wavelet Transforms enhance the recognition rates. In order to use the low, middle and high level features for classification we use multi scaled CNN called DAG-CNN. FUTURE SCOPE
We can add support for more languages in the future
We can add support for special symbols in the future REFERENCES
