A Family
A family is a basic unit of the society.
A family is a group of one or more
parents and their children living
together as a unit. A family varies in
size, it can be a small or big family.
Kinds of a Family
1. Nuclear Family
It is a small family, it is a two–parent family. It
consists of a father, mother, and children.
2. Extended Family
It is a big family. It consists of father, mother,
children, grandmother, grandfather, even uncles, aunts
and cousins. They all live together in one house.
3. Single-parent Family
There are single-parent families because there are
times when one of the parents is not present. This is
because of different reasons like having to look for a
job. The mother is not with the family. Only the
father supports and takes care of the children or only
the mother takes care or guides and assists the
children without the help of a father.
2. Extended Family
It is a big family. It consists of father, mother,
children, grandmother, grandfather, even uncles, aunts
and cousins. They all live together in one house.
