Paste the cut out to the description that suits it.

1. A triangle whose measure is 90 degrees.

2. A triangle that has 3 equal sides.
3. A triangle that has no equal sides.
4. A triangle that measures more than 90 degrees.
5. A triangle that measures less than 90 degrees
Motivation (Health Integration)

Show a handkerchief.
What is this?
Who has also a handkerchief?
*Why do you have your handkerchief?
A handkerchief is used for your personal hygiene.
It is used to keep your body clean.
Motivation

Now, kindly unfold your handkerchief.

What is its shape?

How many sides does it have?

If a polygon has 4 sides, it is called a

quadrilateral.
Presentation

In the Grade 4 class of Mr. Rodriguez, some

pupils prepared cut-outs of quadrilaterals. Jan Dhiel
cut a square. Mary Lyn made a rectangle, Miehl
prepared a rhombus, Roselyn cut a trapezoid, and
Ayessa made a parallelogram. Their outputs were
neat and they cleaned their mess after cutting.

Discussion

*What can you say about their outputs?

What did they do after preparing the cut-outs?

*Is it good to clean your area after doing your activity?

Yes, it is good to be neat and clean all the time because

cleanliness is next to godliness.
Explore and Discover!

rhombus rectangle
A quadrilateral is a polygon with 4 sides and 4
angles. The following are the different
quadrilaterals.
trapezoid
Explore and Discover!

Look at the different quadrilaterals.

square rhombus rectangle

trapezoid parallelogram
Let us familiarize ourselves with the different
quadrilaterals.

A parallelogram has 2 pairs of parallel sides

and its opposite sides are equal.

A rhombus is a parallelogram that has 4 equal

sides.
A rectangle is a parallelogram that
has 4 right angles. Its opposite sides
are equal.

A square is a parallelogram that has 4

equal sides and 4 right angles.

A trapezoid has only one pair of

opposite sides that are parallel.
