The GDP figure in the second quarter of 2023

was 85,407 million euros, placing South Africa as
the 29th economy in the quarterly GDP ranking
of the 53 countries that we publish.

58). African women make up the majority of its
victims: 71% of African women live below the
poverty line.

What is the main economic activity in South Africa?
The crops of corn, citrus fruits, tropical fruits, vegetables, sugar cane and grapes
stand out (both for consumption and for the wine industry). There is a commercial
agriculture of large farms with well-established distribution and marketing
channels.
