Center
The media center’s focus at Willie J Williams Middle School is providing services and support for
teachers and students to further their teaching and learning experience. The funding provided helps WJW
meet their yearly requirements within the library and allows the media specialist to add additional needs
and wants to the budget that has been overlooked due to funds needed elsewhere. Due to this, the media
specialist created four long term goals that require additional funding and support from the district. She
is currently working towards meeting these goals by achieving the goals objectives, such as creating
portfolios, hosting fundraisers, and forming lesson plans.
Willie J’s media center meets and exceeds its mission by providing large group instructional areas,
access to additional technology devices, reading nooks, updated novels, and much more. They also have
an open door policy for student’s families and supply resources to those who want to advance their
child’s learning. Willie J Williams media center is not the largest or most up to date, but upon entering
the facility, one knows they are welcome and will leave with the answers or help they need.
