Voice

Verbs can be Transitive or intransitive .


Sohan reads a book. When the action of the verb
passes from the subject to the
Mridul laughs. direct object, the verb is
transitive.
Harini gave me a new pen.
Intransitive verbs don't need an
Ritwik ran fast. object to make sense – they have
meaning on their own.
Sarita was driving.
Sarita wrote several letters to the Chairman.
