SUGAR MAKING PROCESS:
The industrial process of sugar manufacturing involves the
application of several process to transform Sugarcane juice into
crystals & clean them naturally from impurities that can harm the
organism.
The manufacturing process are:
• Entrance
• Milling
• Clarification
• Evaporation
• Crystallization
• Separation
• Refining
• Drying
• Packing
MILLING : CLARIFICATION:
The turbine used in this plant is The exhaust steam from the low
of Extraction turbine type. In pressure turbine enters the shell
which a controlled extraction from where it is cooled & converted to
a particular stage is sent for the condensate(Water) by flowing
process heating & remaining over the tubes.
steam is completely expanded in
turbine to power of 26MW.
Final steps of the Process :
REFINEMENT :
It is an additional process in which a solution undergoes a
first & second filtration in vertical filters until obtaining clear liquor.
The liquor is evaporated & the crystallization of crystals is started.
DRYING :
In this process condensate water is used to wash sugar,
which results in a humidity between 0.3% & 0.6%, therefore it is
necessary to pass it through the drying process to reach levels
between 0.2% for raw sugar & 0.03% for white sugar.
PACKING :
Export raw sugar goes directly from the dryer to the storage
warehouse. In warehouse, it is loaded trucks that transports same
to the shipping port. Standard white & refined are packed in sacks
of 50 & 46 kg & jumbos of 1400kg to be Commercialized locally &
Intentionally.
