- create a consistent theme;
- reflect school’s academic culture and identity;
- incorporate school paper’s font or color’s scheme

3. Brevity is the soul of wit.
- have a strong opening front page;
- articles should be arranged according
to the importance;
- place images that visually break up the text
- split your articles into columns

- Newsletters should provide value for their readers. For a
school, the audience should be able to tell what's going on to
the alumni or stakeholders. Make use of this page, if possible,
especially if there are school events that involved them.

5. Add photos and graphics
This is intended for either the feature or literary page or
even your science and technology page, graphics provide
visual consistency and make the newsletter fun to look at.
Place images that complement your articles.

6. Optimize your text formatting
- Limit the number of colors and fonts;
- use dark text against a light background;
- standard usage:

9. Be reliable and consistent
- Newsletters are both popular and useful. They extend
school’s presence, inform, and entertain readers, and
show off your community’s achievement to the world.
- Experiment more on the non-conventional ones, but
always bear in mind the format of the page and the ethical
standards attached to all your articles.
