• Lack of knowledge and skills related to complexities and difficulties of global

sourcing hinder an organization from considering the best global sources.
The shortcomings include lack of basic knowledge about the potential
supply sources or legal formalities involved in global sourcing. In other
cases, a company could lack holistic logistics knowledge which is a big
trouble for company executives when they try to implement global sourcing
(Jiang & Tian, 2010)
