Why is being an empathic teacher
important?
{ ‫} َلَقْد َج آَءُك ْم َر ُس وٌل ِّم ْن َأنُفِس ُك ْم َع ِز يٌز َع َلْي ِه َم ا َع ِنُّتْم َح ِر يٌص َع َلْي ُك ْم ِبٱْلُم ْؤ ِم ِنيَن َرُءوٌف َّر ِح يٌم‬
(There hath come unto you) O people of Mecca (a messenger, (one) of yourselves) an Arab and Hashimite like
yourselves, (and it grieves him) it is hard on him (unto whom aught) of sins (that ye are overburdened is
grievous, full of concern for you) for your faith, (for the believers) for all the believers he is (full of pity, merciful).

Research shows that
Recognizing Personal Distress and Sympathetic Reactions: In
the context of education, teachers and educators may encounter
situations where students exhibit personal distress or sympathetic
reactions. For example, a student might become distressed when
struggling with a difficult concept or experiencing social
challenges with peers. Similarly, students might display
sympathetic reactions when witnessing the struggles or
achievements of their classmates.
Predicting Student Actions and Behavior: By understanding the
physiological responses associated with personal distress and
sympathetic reactions, educators can potentially predict students'
actions and behaviors in certain situations. For instance,
heightened physiological arousal in response to personal distress
might indicate that a student is experiencing emotional
discomfort or struggling with a particular aspect of their learning.
Conversely, sympathetic reactions might suggest that students
are reacting to the emotions or experiences of their peers.

(It was by the mercy of Allah that thou wert lenient with them (O Muhammad), for if thou had been stern) harsh in speech
(and fierce of heart) coarse with them (they would have dispersed from round about thee. So pardon them) pardon your
Companions for that which may ensue from them (and ask forgiveness for them) from that transgression which ensues
from them (and consult with them upon the conduct of affairs). (And when thou art resolved) to do something, (then put
your trust in Allah) to give you triumph and domination. (Lo! Allah loveth those who put their trust) in Him.
