PURPOSE
• Our purpose is for the others to know or to be aware of how
deaf and mute can show their ability in terms of employment.

• To have a knowledge about their skills on their employment.


STATEMENT OF THE
PROBLEM
• How the participants experience possible challenges in
their employment?
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK
• Communication Accommodation Theory is applied to the deaf
community. The theory states that the goal of interaction is to create
shared meaning. (West & Turner, 2010)

FINDINGS
• The findings show that the participants have negative and positive
side of experiences.

• In negative side, they experienced discrimination, hardships, lack of


good communication, while in the positive side, they experienced
being encouraged, loved, and treated well by the others.
CONCLUSION
• The researchers conclude that the deaf and mute people’s top
inspiration in their employment on daily life is their parents and also
their poor situation in life.
RECOMMENDATION
• Government officials, For them to improve the rights of deaf and
mute when it comes to employability.
• Deaf and mute employees, For them to improve their own skills on
their employment through social communication.
• Employers, For them to find practical solutions concentrating on the
individual’s abilities, job requirements, and professional knowledge
and not focus on the disability itself of the beholder.
• Future researchers, For them to find the answers and knowledge
