About Kund Malir Balochistan:
Kund Malir:
 The Arabian Sea is situated to its South. It is the largest province of Pakistan
in terms of land and the most thinly populated province. With many places
worth visiting Baluchistan has the famous beach of Kund Malir. Kund
Malir beach is located near Hingol. This beach is about 150 km from
Makran Coastal Highway and it took almost 4 hours from Karachi, the capital
of Sindh, to reach this beach. Kund Malir beach is a serene and soothing
place to visit. Hingol holds the famous National Park of Pakistan which is
about 1650 square meters.
 It is the largest national park of Pakistan and was established in 1988 to
safeguard the existing wildlife in the province of Baluchistan. Kund Malir
beach is considered to be one of the best beaches of the world with no proper
facilities to attract tourist. Kund Malir beach is a desert beach which also
make it unique in some way. The way to the Kund Malir Beach is safe and
well-constructed but it lack the basic facilities of life so one must take
necessary items to enjoy the journey and embarrass the natural beauty.
 According to Flight Network’s, Kund Malir is labeled as ‘The World’s
top 50 Asian beaches in 2018’.
 It is declared as one of the top tourist’s attractions of Pakistan.
 The reason for selecting this beach among the top 50 beaches is
that even after millions of visitors, the shoreline is untouched and
is free from pollution and trash.
 There is no doubt that Kund Malir is one of the most exotic and

points with crystal clear azure blue water.
 Even though the law and order situation of Baluchistan is
SELECTION unpredictable but there is nothing to worry at all. The area is well
protected by the army and other security forces and there are

CRITERIA enough arrangements for the tourists to ensure life and safety for
them in times of any mishap or concern.
 There are checkpoints every now and then made by the army, the
naval staff and coast guards to ensure peace and perfect enjoyable
moments for the visitors.
 This site will carries great potential on tourism development in
Pakistan.
 Location: Kund Malir' is a beach
in Balochistan, Pakistan located in Hingol National Park,
about 150 kilometres (93 mi) from Zero-Point on Makran
Coastal Highway. It is located 236.8 kilometres (147.1 mi)
west of Karachi, the largest city of Pakistan.

Balochi Culture • Dressing:
• Like all the other provinces of
Pakistan the national dress
shalwar kameez with distinct
additions and modifications
are worn in Baloch culture.
The people dress up very
pleasingly and in the same
way in all the tribes. Turban is
the common headwear of
Bloch men along with wide
loose shalwar along with
knee-long shirts. Females
dress consists of a shirt having
a big pocket and embroidery
and embedded round mirror
work in front. A big Dupatta/
Chaddar is taken to cover the
head and shoulders.
Festivals

• These religious festivals are celebrated by


decorating houses wearing new dresses
cooking special dishes. Baloch culture is full
of many social festivals like Sibi festival
which has folk music performance, cultural
dances, handicrafts stalls, cattle shows and
a number of other entertaining activities
showing the colorful side of Baloch people.
• Buzkashi is another festival showing rather
enhancing the bravery tactfulness and
bravery of Baloch people. It is celebrated
on horse-back by two teams that use their
skills to snatch a goat from the each other.
Music
• Baloch culture is rich in folk music dances and

are Nazenk and Salonk. The instruments used
are mainly a flute, locally called Nal,
Tamboora and Soroz. A common Baloch folk
dance is known as Dochaap. Women also move
in a circle clapping their hands on certain
occasions. Other dances include the Lewa, Latti
and Hambo.

Food
• Usually Baloch people have meals in morning and
evening. Men and women eat separately. Wheat,
millet and rice are part of the Baloch meal. Meat is
also an important part; “Sajji” is the favorite dish of
most people. Sajji is the food eaten with knife
other than that Baloch people usually eat with
hands. Milk, butter and vegetables are also part of
Baloch cuisine.

Sports
• Popular games include chauk, and Ji. Also games
like wrestling, horse racing, shooting and hunting
pastimes among the wealthier people of tribes.
Card games and gambling are also popular
among groups of some tribes.
