SAP Quality Management Features

SAP QM in production helps to process inspections at any operation level or at different intervals.
Hence we can use this feature to inspect and record the current requirement instead of creating new
movement type
Process:
1. Inspection Plan Creation
• Inspection plan is created as a master data which contains the list of characteristics which need to be
inspected.
• These inspection characteristics are copied to Inspection plan during lot creation.
2. Inspection Lot Creation
• When a production order is released, the system creates an inspection lot record to manage the inspection
specifications and inspection results for all operations.
3. Recording inspection results
• Only the quantities confirmed to PP as a yield or rework quantities are taken into consideration.
• When you record inspection results in QM, we can record the defects also which helps us in keeping track
record and further analysis.
