Success of any organization or company relies on the
leadership and way of managing that exist in the company. Some
managers of particular company play different main roles. The most
major roles played by managers are planning, organizing, staffing,
directing, coordinating, reporting and budgeting. Planning mainly
involves managers in setting long and short-term activities of the
company. Organizing is the aspect of setting up managers’ functions
and activities to be done by the specific group of people. All duties
mentioned above are carried out by managers at the specific level to
ensure company still remains productive.
GROUP ACTIVITY
• Read the list of words or phrases assigned to you.
Decide which two names are general categories, then put
the rest of the words or phrases in the correct category.
• Each group is given 10 minutes to accomplish task.
• Have your output be posted on the board and be ready
for presentation.

WHAT IS AN OUTLINE?

• An outline is a direct and clear map of your essay. It


shows what each paragraph will contain, in what
order paragraphs will appear, and how all the points
fit together as a whole. Most outlines use bullet
points or numbers to arrange information and convey
points.

thus it proves one’s understanding and comprehension of the
reading text.
