Study the administration guide

before the assessment procedure. It is best to master
the procedure for smooth conduct of the assessment.

grade only. It is best to laminate the
learner Sheet so it can be easily
disinfected after every use.

This means the child is Full Refresher.

If the child correctly reads 1 to 10 words in

If word score is 1 to 10, child is Moderate Refresher

If word score is 11 to 16, child is Light Refresher

If word score is 17 to 20, child is Grade Ready

BoSY CRLA Reading Profiles

Reading profiles tell who is on track and who needs to

review concepts from the previous grade

• Full Refresher – Needs direction instruction of

previous grade level concepts and skills

• Moderate Refresher – Does not have a firm grasp

of previous grade level concepts and skills yet;
needs a lot of assistance and practice

• Light Refresher – Has a firm grasp of previous

grade level concepts and skills; needs practice to
improve accuracy

• Grade Ready – Has mastery of previous grade

level concepts and skills; ready to learn new
concepts and skills
