CELEBRATION DATE
 Itis celebrated internationally on the night of October
31st, especially in the Anglo sphere, such as Canada,
the United States, Ireland or the United Kingdom, and,
to a lesser extent, in other places like Spain and Latin
America.
THE ORIGIN OF THE
CELEBRATION
 Its roots are linked to the Celtic commemoration of
Sambaing and the Christian holiday of All Saints Day,
celebrated by Catholics on November 1. It is largely a
secular celebration, although some consider it has a
religious background. Irish immigrants transmitted
versions of the tradition to North America during the
Great Irish Famine.
WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF
Itis a modern celebration result of the syncretism
originated by the Christianization of the parties of
the end of summer of Celtic origin, The day is
often associated with the colors orange, black and
purple.
FOOD
 Caramel apples (known as caramel apples outside of
North America), and sweet apples are common during
the holidays.
 Caramel apples were commonly given to children, but
the practice quickly vanished in the wake of widespread
rumors that some individuals were embedding objects
such as nails and razor blades in apples in the United
States.
