Travel agency is a private retailer that promotes tourism services on
behalf of suppliers such as airline, hotels, cruise lines, car rentals and
package tour.
A travel agent is one who helps in the arrangement of travels and tour.
 FUNCTIONS OF TRAVEL AGENT
1. They help customers to find a suitable travel package .
2. They help customers in booking e.g. flight ticket, hotel reservation etc.
3. They help in checking the availability of chosen holiday package.
4. The help in arranging things like car rentals.
5. They also inform customers of any change such as cancelled flights and arranging
alternatives.
6. They also help in arranging lodging for tourist.
7. They help customers in filling booking forms.
8. They also help in visa procurement.
