Grape varieties

There are many kinds of grapes, of different colours


and tastes.
E.g.: Merlot is a blue coloured-grape.

Wine flavours depend on


• the grape used to produce the wine.
• the circumstances, like weather conditions, in which
grapes are cultivated

Chardonnay
A green-skinned grape used to produce white wine.
Chardonnay is grown all over the world and so is the
wine produced from it.

 Sparkling wines like Champagne.


Sauvignon Blanc
A green-skinned grape grown in France,
Chile, USA and some regions of Spain.
White wines are produced from it.

Merlot

make red wines.

Cabernet sauvignon

The most widely recognized blue grape


for the production of red wine. It is
