Mission: Time Travel

Mission: Going Back in Time
You have been tasked with going back in time to the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory before the tragic
fire.

Your Mission: Prevent as many people

from dying as possible.
The Catch: You cannot directly warn
anyone about what is going to happen.

The Means: You will create 3-5 safety

regulations along with a workplace safety
poster with ideas, tips, or rules for the
employees to follow.

written in complete
sentences on the back of the
poster that your group
creates.
Workplace Regulation Examples:
“All passageways, storerooms, and
service rooms shall be kept clean and
orderly. Every floor and working space
shall be kept free of protruding nails,
splinters, holes, or loose boards.”

“Every building or structure shall be

arranged and maintained as to provide
free and unobstructed egress from all
part of the buildings. No lock or
fastening to prevent free escape from
inside the building should be installed.”

Monetary fines

Loss of certification or permit

Etc.
 Your Workplace Safety Poster:
Your poster should reflect ideas, tips, or rules for the employees to follow to stay
safe--everyday, or in the event of an emergency.

Possible ideas:
*Fire Prevention
* Crowd safety
* Emergency Preparedness
Your poster should be colorful, eye-catching, and neat

Your poster should be free from spelling errors and should directly relate to the
assignment
Your group will present your poster and
regulations later this week.
