Reboot Plus
• The Surrey School District has partnered with Douglas College to offer the Reboot Plus Program.
Reboot Plus provides students with opportunities to develop a deeper understanding of their
interests and aspirations, explore a variety of career pathways and develop an education and
career plan.
• The demographic for Reboot Plus is students who are not on track to complete high school or
who are otherwise struggling with school or what to do in the future. We are targeting grey area
LST students who can miss two afternoons a week to take the program. It is ideal for students
who have alternate schedules or are able to take a few LST blocks to make up the time that they
will miss from high school classes in order to attend Reboot Plus.
• Participants must have an interest in exploring career options. As well, they need to be able to
travel to Douglas College and attend classes independent of IESW or adult support
• Classes will be held at Douglas College’s New Westminster campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Classes begin on March 5, 2024 and run until June 6, 2024.

Health Care Spring Camp
• We would like to extend an invitation to students in grades 10 - 12 to participate in the upcoming Health
Care Spring Camp 2024.
• Spring camp is a five-day immersive and dynamic experience where students will connect with health-care
professionals and engage in hands-on experiences that can fuel passion and shape a future in a health-
related career. The camp will include site specific tours, presentations from various disciplines within the
health-care team, simulations, and Heart & Stroke certification in Heart Saver CPR AED - Level C.

Camp Ignite Youth Firefighting Mentorship Program August 8 – 11, 2024


• Camp Ignite is a three-night, three-day camp that educates and inspires young women to

• BCIT’s “ACE” Program will introduce students to the entry level design, technical and

• While the July 2024 intake of the ACE Certificate is open to students currently enrolled in
Grade 12 expecting to graduate in June 2024, as well as recent (i.e. 2023) high school
graduates, we are specifically interested in reaching students who would truly benefit from

Empowered Black Girl Program


• Empowered Black Girl is a conference for Black girls in the Vancouver lower mainland
area of British Columbia between grades 8 -12.
• The program was created to provide a platform for Black girls to interact & have
empowering discussions with Black women to promote representation and provide
resources for different aspects of daily life.
• The program focus areas are Community Development, Health & Wellness, STEM,
