TOWARDS THE IMPROVEMENT OF QLTC
PERFOMANCE
PROBLEM STATEMENT
• The QLTC’s existence and impact is differently
felt across the system both horizontally and
vertically. Although in some areas it has made
some strides, but that does not fully help in
contributing to the improvement of learner
performance.
• As a result it is important to re-strategise its
functionality in schools and communities
QLTC STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
“To mobilize communities and various stakeholders, so that
they collaborate and partner with the DBE and the PEDs in a
“National Social Compact for Education”, that supports the
strategic vision of the basic education sector: A
“transformed SA”, where there is delivery & provision of
quality learning and teaching, - to ensure access to lifelong
learning, education and training opportunities of the highest
quality for all, which will, in turn, contribute towards
improving the quality of life and the building of a peaceful,
prosperous, equal, socially cohesive, and democratic South
Africa (“Quality Public Education”), both as an “apex priority
of government” and a “societal issue/ matter””;
