ABSTRACT

 Smart blind eye glasses" could refer to advanced eyewear

designed to assist individuals with visual impairments or
blindness.

 The glasses may use sensors to detect obstacles and provide

alert to avoid collisions.

 Navigation Assistance: GPS and other location-based

technologies help users navigate through different
environments.

 Object Recognition using Cameras and sensors.

01

INTRODUCTION

 In a world increasingly driven by technological innovation,

One segment of the population facing unique challenges is the
visually impaired community.

 Obstacle Detection and Navigation.

 It has an in-built sensor in it which it gets spreads ultrasonic

waves in the direction where the person is going by scanning
at most several meters of specific range.

 As soon as the obstacle is detected, the sensor detects it and

send it to the device which generates an automated sound
using buzzer and vibration.
02

LITERATURE SURVEY
The landscape of technological aids for those with visual
impairments has witnessed notable progress in recent times.

 Ultrasonic Smart Glass :-

( Mr.D .SRINIVASA RAO, R.SWATHI, Y.D.SRAVANI )
a) Using ultrasonic sensor to detect range.
b) Used range of d>3m to buzz.
c) Used 3 Models using IC glass BGA package at 40um.

 Third Eye For Blind People :-

( PROF. AJAY INGLE )
a) Led will glow on detection of obstacle and audio sound will
generate and can be heard through a headphone.
b) A stick is used on which circuit is fabricated and a dazed
person can also use it.
03

RESEARCH GAP

 Early Research shows that the models were using limited

range of 3 Meters.

 Higher Cost.

 Instead of using sensor in one direction the proposed model is

multidirectional that is left and right both and it will be easy to
detect in every direction.

 Using Motor for Vibration for the people having hearing

disability.

 Will be Eco Friendly cost of whole model

COMPONENTS USED

Ultrasonic Sensor Buzzer

Arduino
UNO/NANO

Vibration Motor Power Supply

Arduino UNO/NANO
Arduino is an open-source platform used for building electronics projects.

Arduino consists of both physical programmable circuit board and a piece of software, or
IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that runs on our computer.

It is used to write and upload computer code to the physical board.

The Arduino UNO includes 6 analog pin inputs, 14 digital pins, a USB connector, a power
jack, and an ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming) header.

The input voltage of the UNO board varies from 7V to 20V

ULTRASONIC SENSOR
An ultrasonic sensor is an instrument that measures the
distance to an object using ultrasonic sound waves.

High-frequency sound waves reflect across boundaries to

produce distinct echo patterns.

 It can sense from 2-400 cm.

The distance should be from 40 cm to 150 cm and that is

because this is the required range tocapture a clear image.

 Distance L = 1/2 × T × C, L: The distance, T: Time between the

emission and reception and C: Sonic speed.
BUZZER
A buzzer or beeper is an audio signaling device, which may
be mechanical, electromechanical , or piezoelectric (piezo for short).

Typical uses of buzzers and beepers include alarm devices, timers, train and
confirmation of user input such as a mouse click or keystroke.

Buzzer uses a DC power supply that ranges from 4V – 9V. To operate this, a 9V
battery is used but it is suggested to utilize a regulated +5V/+6V DC supply.
VIBRATION MOTOR
 Motors represent the original technology for generating vibration.

They are simple to use and are available in a wide range of sizes. That translates to a wide
range of vibration amplitudes and frequencies to match any application.

ADVANTAGES

 Guides Blind People

 Light Weight

 User Friendly

 Efficient Low Cost Design

 Environmental Awareness

 Customization for Users

 Improved Safety
07

CONCLUSION

 A less complex portable , cost efficient and easy to manage an

effective system with almost cost reduction on 50% and 20%
range enhancement.

 Physically Impaired person will be able to walk confidently

and without any hesitation.

 It can detect the obstacles in every directions.

 Without the help of others the blind person can move and can
live regular lives easily.

 Can be customized according to the person like the person who

have hearing loss then it can sense the alert using vibration
motor.
